Book Review: Atomic Habits by James Clear
Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones is a book by James Clear published by Avery, an imprint of Penguin Random House. The book was first published on October 16, 2018.
Habits are a part of everyone's life. Everyone has both good and bad habits. Everyone wants to get rid of their bad habits and cultivate good habits. But the common mistake done by people in making habits is highlighted in this book: people tend to take Everest-sized leaps and think they can create a new habit and become successful overnight. James Clear makes it clear that a much better and easier way to make good habits and break bad habits is by improving 1 percent every day.
Just like how money is accumulated by compounding over time, this book shows that habits too are just like that. When you start a new action, over time it turns into a habit whether you want it as a habit or not.
In all, this book is a practical guide for the readers to make good habits that can influence them productively and break the bad ones that might cage their efficiency.
I have found this book really helpful, and I have also developed many good and productive habits since I've read it.
I highly recommend this book to be read in your early teens, and if you haven't heard of this book at that time, you may also read it in your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and anytime you would like to. Knowing this information from a young age (teenage is the golden age for this) is good as it helps you to cultivate good habits from a young age so that it sticks with you as you grow older. Happy Reading!
Will get this book. It seems more inline with "Agile" delivery methodology.
