Book Review: The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

I think this book stands out to me as a very insightful book on money. It is a great read for every teenager. It will prove helpful even for adults to improve in their financial choices, but being exposed to this book from childhood would be really helpful for a person to understand the way human minds work about money and how to make sure our presuppositions serve us and do not hamper our success.

The author, Morgan Housel, has perfectly delved deep into a variety of examples to explain the way people behave and why they behave in a way in their money decisions. He has linked many examples from various unrelated fields which are beautifully parallel to concepts in finance. Examples like those related to ice ages would not have seemed relevant to money matters, right? But sometimes, ideas in some fields can teach us about things in a completely unrelated field!

This book has helped me create my own beliefs about money, giving me a path to explore about my thoughts on money. I recommend it to every type of person and hope it gives you helpful insight as it has for me.

Happy reading!
