Oceans of the world

Pacific ocean- It is the largest ocean on earth and covers more than 30% of the earth’s surface. The size of the pacific ocean is bigger than the total size of the landmass of the continents together.

Atlantic ocean-It is the second largest ocean on earth. It is home to the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, the Cancun reef off the coast of Mexico. There is an underwater mountain range in the North Atlantic ocean called the Atlantic Ridge.  

Indian Ocean-The 3rd largest ocean on earth, and it’s also the warmest ocean on earth. It has the lowest oxygen content and limited marine life.

Antarctic Ocean-It is also called the Southern or Austral ocean. It is home to 90% of the world’s ice. It covers only 6% of the earth’s surface.

Arctic Ocean-It is the most smallest and shallowest ocean on earth. Blue whales are found in all oceans except the Arctic Ocean.



Continents of the World

Asia-It is the earth’s most largest continent. It has the world’s largest plains, deserts and plateaus. Asia’s total geographical land area is actually larger than the moon.

Africa-It is the second largest continent on earth. Between 1500-2000 languages are spoken in Africa. Africa is home to a young and fast-growing consumer market-comparable to China and India.

North America-It is the 3rd largest continent. There are 23 countries in North America. North America's older mountain ranges, including the Appalachians, rise near the east coast of the United States and Canada. These areas have been mined for rich deposits of coal and other minerals for hundreds of years. 

South America-The Amazon forest found in South America has the greatest biodiversity in the world. Brazil has the most UNESCO world heritage sites globally. The anaconda is one of the world’s biggest snakes and is found in South America.

Antarctica-It is the 5th largest of all continents. It is the most southern continent and is inhabited by animals that are used to snow like penguins, seals, polar bears and walruses.

Europe-The highest mountain peak in Europe is in Russia, Mount Elbrus and it’s 5643 m above sea level. Europe has 46 countries.

Australia-It is the smallest continent in the world. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest ecosystem in the world. Some animals found in Australia are Kangaroo, Koala, Wombat, Tasmanian Devil, Quokka, Platypus, Wallaby and Echidnas.



The 7 wonders of the World

The 7 wonders of the world are the Taj Mahal in India, Great Wall of China in China, Chichén Itzá El Castillo in Mexico, Christ the redeemer statue in Brazil, Petra in Jordan, Machu Picchu in Peru and The Colosseum in Italy.
