Reading Books

BOOKS

What are books? According to Google, it’s a written or printed work consisting of pages glued or sewn together along one side and bound in covers. According to some people, it’s a wonderful timepass option. To some people, it may be textbooks which they would be forced to read, haha. According to me, it’s a huge sensational world which is created by us, or the writers. It is a device that gives us knowledge.

A book is a gift that you can open again and again.

You might have heard of this quote. It is very true. People may say, “Why do you read so many books? You won’t even need to use all that information!”
But how would they know that it can’t be used? Who knows, maybe reading a book might help you prevent a potential problem with preliminary information.
Nowadays, people call others as ‘bookworm’ or ‘nerd’ if they read a lot. I myself hear that from people, especially my relatives. Well, you might have encountered that if you read a lot of books.
Don’t listen to them. You are a bookworm. You are a nerd. Be proud of it. That’s what I do. Just overlook what they say. Ignore. Shrug it off. Yeah.

You might know this phrase: You are the books you read.
It means, whatever you read, you develop it into your habits or lifestyle. That’s why, you must read the right books. Don’t read...well...the wrong books. You get what I mean, I hope? Mmm.
You might know that Bill Gates is known for reading 50 books a year. Three cheers for him! Don’t think, hey, he’s Bill Gates, that’s why he can do that! Everyone can read if they have the will to. I’m sure Bill Gates would say the same thing.
So here are a few tips for reading:
  • Start off with reading short articles. Then pick little books, like kids books. Don’t worry, it’s nothing wrong if an adult reads a four-year-old kid’s book. It’s just a good start. Then slowly you can proceed to novels.
  • Read whenever you get the time. Even a minute. Because reading at least a sentence is better than no reading at all, right?
  • Read the right books which give you useful information and good novels.
  • Don’t waste time reading books which don’t intrigue you, because time is precious.
  • Don’t care what other people say about you reading too many books. Just read on.
So, with these tips, you can become Bill Gates and read 50, even hundred books a year!

Oh, also, you could comment down this post with names of books and genres which you like reading. Others would try it out, and I would too! :D
